The next is Samsung 860 EVO 1TB, this drive is generally considered to be the fastest SATA SSD (or close to it, at least) and should offer a small but potentially noticeable upgrade over the Crucial MX500 and be way much better than the SanDisk SSD Plus. If you’re serious user, this is the one you would go for, specially designed to enhance performance because of the latest Samsung’s V-NAND technology.

Finally, the choice is up to you - certainly, plenty of people have bought a SanDisk SSD PLUS 1TB Internal SSD and absolutely loved this drive. It did make a fairly significant difference to boot times and usage. But from our point of view, the Samsung 860 Evo and Crucial MX500 are demonstrably better drives for little extra spend - so why not go with one of these instead if you can?
